    What marked this expedition

    Access via single-engine airplane

Access to Mentai was made possible by a single-engine airplane from the Dieter Morszeck Foundation — without this partnership, travel would have required 12 hours by boat along the Arapiuns River, making it impossible to serve the region within the expedition's timeframe.

Villages served together with DSEI GUATOC

In Pajuçara, the team provided care at the UBS built with support from the Dieter Morszeck Foundation. In Bragança and Lago da Praia, both indigenous villages, all activities were previously coordinated with DSEI GUATOC.

    Accommodation in Cachoeirinha Village

One of the most memorable moments of the expedition. The community was recently grieving a tragedy: a lightning strike had killed all the village dogs and a child. The team brought a psychologist dedicated to talking with and supporting residents through the mourning process.
